Topeka Pro Hockey Needs a Name – And It’s Down To Five

Topeka Professional Hockey of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce they have narrowed it down to the final 5 names that the fans submitted and you can vote now thru April 27th. The team will track these votes and will be making the announcement live at a press conference on May 5th,2025 at 1pm, along with the logo, jersey design and many other announcements. 

The Five Names are as follows:

The Topeka Scarecrows a nod to the first team that dropped the puck here at Landon Arena. The iconic logo has been touched up a bit to be more modern and generate a new passionate fanbase. 

The Topeka Tornados a nod both to the Tornado from Wizard of Oz as well as being the heart of Tornado Alley in the USA.

The Topeka Wizards a fun twist on the Wizard of Oz and still semi hockey relevant. A logo that appeals to kids and adults alike.

The Topeka Roadrunners another nod to yesteryear. An updated look on the classic logo that will allow for new memories for a younger fan base.

The Topeka Capitals as an homage to the Capital City. With the building sitting city center the team can take pride in its establishment as the Capital of Kansas.
